♡ Fashion Inspiration: Tomboy Style ♡

みなさん、こんにちは! 

Now I do know that (for now) I am not the most fashionable person on the planet but I do have certain likes and dislikes about things. One of my biggest interest is street fashion - whether it is Japanese, Korean, American, British, European etc etc - I enjoy it the most. I've started to compile lists and pictures of outfits I would love to co-ordinate in the future once I have lost all the weight I need to lose and once I feel happy with who I really am. So looking through one of my favourite magazines - Kera - which is all about Japanese street and alternative fashion with the use of certain brands like Sex Pot Revenge, Hellcat Punks and Super Lovers etc.

Now the pictures I have collected I have put into certain... categories and today I am showing the style "Tomboy" which is where you dress boyish but you still pull of femininity - I think that is correct? It is basically blurring the line between femininity and masculinity. 

Looking through the above pictures, you can see what I am aiming for with the "Tomboy Style" and me being not confident enough to show that much skin - I feel that is a look I could easily pull off and so one day I shall be seen in public dressed to impress.

♡ Weekend Trip to Wakefield ♡

みなさん、こんにちは! 

Last weekend I travelled up north to Wakefield - which is near Leeds - to see my friend Toni for her birthday as well as to see a film I have been excited to see for an extremely long time - Avengers Assemble.

Originally it was meant to be myself, Toni and Ali but sadly Ali couldn't make it for the weekend - b'awh ( ；´Д｀) - and so in the end it was just the two of us in tow. I arrived at Wakefield around 3.40pm and after Toni arrived to pick me up from the station, we headed on over to the Travelodge where we were staying - seriously I have a thing for Travelodge's at the moment hurhurhur - and after checking in and dumping our stuff off, we headed back through town and towards the cinema in hoping of catching the 6pm showing of Avengers. Alas though, the screening had been fully booked up so we instead we bought tickets for the 7.45pm screening and headed on over to KFC for food. Our original plan was to see early screening of the film then head out for Chinese food afterwards but it didn't happen obviously ヽ(○´∀`)ﾉ♪

I swear down though, the thing I couldn't get my head around whilst being up North was in the fact the accents and how fast they speak ∑(O_O；) I had to ask the poor KFC man to repeat what he asked at least three times - but I'm glad he knew I wasn't from around that area! Also, I had only eaten my corn on the cob and started on my fries and Toni had already finished her food... WHAT WAS THAT (ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ it's like she inhaled it or something!

The movie was obviously AMAZING and I am halfway through the review of it to post on here for Movie Monday (yes I have neglected it a lot recently but I have two films to make up for it!) and I am still laughing to myself over certain parts of the film.

On Sunday, I went to meet Toni's family - ey up it must be serious the fact I met her parents *inside joke* （　´∀｀）and they were all so lovely and normally I get extremely nervous meeting my friends families but I never felt so relaxed in my life! Also I must admit being eyed up by an African Grey Parrot was a little - disturbing because it felt like she was going to slit my throat with her beak at one point! But towards the end she let me stroke her stomach and she seemed to enjoy me playing Yamashita Tomohisa and Vivid music to her （　´∀｀）

Also on Sunday (before we headed over to Toni's place) we met up with another friend Kitty - who works in Wakefield and didn't know that I was coming up for the weekend so we hung out in Sainsbury's for her lunch break. I must admit, I did buy a Thor figure from the store HAH

Umm that was about really it for the weekend as after we left Toni's house, we went back to the hotel and watched The Incredible Hulk on ITV2 followed by lots of Alice Nine Channels whilst devouring crisps and cookies and Monster energy drink ⊂((・▽・))⊃

It was a nice weekend away from my family as well as university work and job hunting and I would like to travel up North again but maybe this time to either Manchester or Leeds or Birmingham!

♡ Shopping Service Review Part II ♡

On Thursday morning, I was woken up at around 8am because of a very lovely delivery for myself from Kairai and my bad mood for being awoken so early disappeared very quickly when I did realise that the rather large box contained some extremely wonderful items that I had been aching to pay for since January! What I love about Kairai’s services is that he ships his goods using Fedex and being a person who usually use SAL to have things shipped to me from Japan, I might have fallen in love with Fedex and now will be willing to pay extra to have things delivered in 1-3 days instead of waiting a long excruciating week for items to arrive on my doorstep – see this just shows impatient I really am!

So I received an email from Kairai on Sunday saying that he had posted off my items and gave me my tracking number – which I honestly never use because it makes the wait more unbearable – and the package arrived on Thursday so that is really quick and amazing delivery in my honest opinion for an impatient bugger like myself! I have a strange obsession with amazon boxes from other countries and this is my first amazon box from Japan so I carefully ripped off the packing tape (as I needed to save the order form on the front for banking reasons) and gleefully diving into pieces of Japanese newspaper, I pulled out bubble wrapped bundles of heaven for inside the box was a collection of Alice Nine cds and one of their live dvds! Altogether there were 10 cds (so 11 items altogether) and there were a mixture of singles and albums all ranging from 2004 – 2007 and in the picture below you will see what specific ones I got:

So as you can probably tell I am one happy person at this specific moment in time ヾ(*´∇`)ﾉ I have officially fallen in love with Japanese auction sites because of the fact I can find my favourite things (cds, dvds, clothes, make-up etc) for such really cheap prices! Oh and Kairai is an amazing person to be able to do this for me ( ﾉ^ω^)ﾉﾟ

♡ Friend Date! ♡

On Wednesday; I went and met up with my school friend Frankie, who I have known for almost 12 years now (crazy shit) and we spent the day in Chelmsford town centre doing some shopping, having some lunch and just a general catch up as we haven’t seen each other since New Year’s Eve. It's nice to see her because I can be myself around her without judging me and she understands some of the situations I have been in because she has probably gone through the same thing. Also we can have a good laugh and take the piss out of people without actually saying certain things (like names etc)

ANYWAY ( (ﾐ´ω`ﾐ)) we met up at Starbucks for a nice coffee - something I have not had in a really long time - and I actually had a medium sized Chai Tea Latte and in the end I wished I had ordered a small because the actual size of the cup as well as the sweetness of the Latte was overwhelming and I actually couldn't finish the drink (つω`*)
We mooched around the shops in High Chelmer, going into La Senza (so I could find out about the job going on in there) and then Republic (for eyeing up and wishing of lovely clothes) followed by Boots - where I felt I had bought the whole makeup counter because I had run out of every makeup source possible and the last time I bought things like that was back in January... so much makeup was needed ヾ(･ω･*)ﾉ

As it was around 2pm at this point we headed over to Prezzo for a delicious lunch. Frankie and I shared a bread board where there was tomato and pesto bread, mozzarella and garlic bread, ciabatta and music bread with balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil to dip the bread into. I wanted something filling yet healthy to eat and when reading the menu I had noticed that there were calories put next to the food and I couldn't resist eating a pizza! I chose the QUATTRO FORMAGGI which had gorgonzola, goat’s cheese, grana padano AND mozzarella cheese on... I was in a cheese heaven ヾ(×× ) ﾂ and I had a side ceasar salad and the whole calories for the meal was 800 - it seems high but it was all I ate for the rest of the day and I couldn't even finish the pizza.

After lunch, Frankie and I went walking about again to burn off our food (we weren't overly full but full enough you know?) and walking through an ally way to get to the main high street I saw a Banksy still street art with some cruddy written quote above it and I suppose I just couldn't resist taking a picture!

More shopping was involved as I needed some books for my Japanese studies and Waterstones had a pretty large collection - for once - and so after much deciding I chose Berlitz's Japanese in 30 Days (with a cd) and Essential Japanese, the Oxford Japanese Dictionary and a Japanese for Busy People workbook - they had other books from the "Busy People" range but I chose the workbook and have decided to get the other two when I am next in town!

As you can tell from the picture above; my makeup collection now vast and wide with some pretty colours! I mainly stuck to a couple of brands because I know they won't cause my skin to break out (as I've mentioned previously about my sensitive skin!) and I would list them all but I need to write another blog post that is linked to something I wrote a couple of months ago (?)
Argh! I keep saying I'll write certain things but I just keep forgetting! Silly memory ヽ(ー_ー )ノ

We also went into Topshop because I wanted to see if a bag I had seen online - but sadly was out of stock - would be in the shop but alas again... no such prevail ; 3 ; but I did buy a couple of hairbands and some earrings for half price and a nice skull top! Also getting student discount in Topshop made the purchase a little better and made me feel less guilty for such frivolous items!

The last shop we went into before I had to go home (boo) was Paperchase because I had to get a scrap book for a project I am doing (might write a blog about it... not sure to be honest) and a bag for the presents I am organizing too! ヾ(*´∇`)ﾉ

I think I have covered everything... long blog post is long though (_ _") but oh well! Have a picture of my face to finish it off Ｏ(≧▽≦)Ｏ

♡ Food Date with Ahjumma ♡

So I came back to London for my studies and yesterday afternoon I met up with my lovely friend Sharan, who I met originally online and we met in person for the first time back in January and we clicked instantly. She treated me to a late lunch as she knows the reason to why I've been feeling down a lot lately and it was nice to be treated honestly, and for one day I pigged out and didn't worry about my weight and just enjoyed good food and good company. So originally Sharan and I met up in Starbucks in Kingston and I enjoyed a gorgeous Chai Tea Latte (small one as I do find it a bit sickly sweet for my taste) but I still enjoyed it all the same and when Sharan arrived we must have chatted for almost an hour before we took the train over to New Malden (why take a 30 minute bus journey when it takes about 5 minutes and two stops on the train eh?) and we headed over to a small restaurant called Haru.

Now I must admit I do have a confession to make; despite New Malden being a 20 minute bus journey away from me and it being a thriving Korean community, I have hardly been there and enjoyed the food because I've never had anyone to go with and even though I have gone into places and eaten by myself... recently I've just felt too scared to do it and so I was happy to jump at the chance to eat here with Sharan.

We sat out at the back of the restaurant, where you have to take your shoes off and sit crossed legged at a low table, which I enjoyed despite getting pins and needles every now and again! There was so much nice food on the menu it was hard to choose but in the end we had one dish that we would have to ourselves and a couple that we could share between us. I chose chicken udon soup and Sharan had don katsu with rice and the dishes we shared were these:

Ddeokbokki, Gimbap, Kimchijeon, Kkanpunggi

I do believe we devoured every last morsel of food and it was just seriously delicious! It felt like I was back in the heart of Seoul eating delicious and scrummy foods that they had to offer. After our meal, we had a hearty 30 minutes walk to Korea Foods, where I needed to get some bits and pieces for meals as I am here until Saturday morning and inside the supermarket it was wonderful. They didn't just have Korean food; they had Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and even Singaporean food and after we got out little bits and pieces I was introduced to an ice-cream that was... how do I put it... it was wrapped in a plastic wrapper that felt exactly like the same consistency of a condom!

Never in my life had I felt this dirty and perverted eating an ice-cream... AND IT'S AIMED AT CHILDREN?! I have no words... It was tasty I'll admit and I normally hate chocolate ice-cream!

Ummm... I think that was about it for what happened yesterday! But now I must sleep for I am travelling back to my parents home tomorrow morning and when I get back I will write another blog post about TEFL, which is something I said I would do for my friend Ali ☆
