♡ November Glossybox ♡

みなさん、こんにちは!
Note: in my last post about Glossybox; I wrote about a colour of their box they tend to use... but it was a mistake because it is another company that uses a certain blue colour and so because of my silliness in not knowing... I made an error! So please forgive me ( ;´Д`)

I love this months theme so much because it's getting us all prepared for the holiday season ヾ(*д*) and for the past few Christmas's I haven't exactly been jolly... but this year I certainly feel different about it and enjoying all the tests my mother and I are doing on recipes to decide what to do for Christmas / Boxing day in particular. Anyway going off course...

The brands we were given this month involve ones I have certainly heard of, but never tried in my life - Dermalogica and Nails Inc are certainly brands that I am used to having in my life because of a good friend, who is an amazing beauty therapist, would give me all these products for me to try and enjoy. Also I have heard of the Dr Jart+ brand but it just didn't appeal to me as a younger consumer.

My favourite part about Glossybox is the care and attention to detail the staff members give to each and every box and I adore the packaging along with the tissue paper and pieces that keep the products safe on their journey from the HQ to customers houses.

It's not even December yet and I'm already anxious to get my final (boooooo!) box from my subscription! I think when I can afford it... I'm definitely buying myself another subscription! Forever cursing and thanking my godmother for getting me hooked!
Thanks for reading!

♡ ロンドン Baby! ♡

みなさん、こんにちは!

Trouble, troublemaker yeah that's your middle name wooaahh ♪♫

As per usual... I roll out the blog posts a week after each event has happened (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜 Last Saturday afternoon; I /finally/ met up with Emilia and her friend Ash! I have been conversing with Emilia online since the beginning of the year, hitting it off straight away and so for a while we had been throwing ideas back and forth to meet each other in person - usually ending up in failure but we finally had success! (,, ・∀・)ノ゛

I was extremely lucky to get a lift off my dad into London - huzzah for him working at London City Airport - and so I met Emilia and Ash outside Camden station at around 12.30pm - it took me forever to get from the airport because I had to change over from the jubilee line to northern line at London Bridge station and because of the amount of weekend people it was just hdfdljkshfdlsk (`Д´*) the three of us mooched around Camden for a good couple of hours - Ash needed some hoodies and even though she asked for my help with haggling prices, I swear she is a natural haggler with the stall holders! We walked around the stables before sitting down for a few minutes so that we could have a breather and for Ash to have a smoke - and as I have now officially quit smoking I was comfortable to be around her without craving for one myself! We were going to get a snack to eat but the amount of time it took to get to order we just decided against it and went to meet Ash's friend Stephen instead and headed over to Leicester Square via the good ol' London bus service - it was a lot quicker and a lot cheaper than going via the underground!
Once at Leicester Square; we split off into pairs and headed to each restaurant that we wanted to eat at! I actually took Emilia to Misato - where I have had wonderful experience previously and wanted to share it with her... along with the excellent food and cheap prices! We messed around and pretended we were on a date... to the point where we accidentally ordered the same food and drink (」゜ロ゜)」 and I actually got compliments from the extremely cute waiter... oh now I get complimented when I am in a serious relationship?! SHEESH ((*゜Д゜) I'm just joking... I love you really sweetiepie (・∀・)

Amazing chicken katsu teriyaki (`ω´*)

I swear the food in Misato I could easily eat all the time... Anyway after food; Emilia and I headed over towards the Leicester Square gardens to meet Ash and Stephen again. When we arrived there, we noticed that there were some people in the garden raising money for charity - dressed up as comic book heroes and villians! There was Wolverine, Magneto as well as a complete Iron Man costume that looked absolutely immense as well as a couple of storm troopers! Emilia and Ash went up and had their photographs taken with loads of the people but I was too chicken and only had my photo taken with Indiana Jones... as well as Emilia because like I said... chicken ( ꒪Д꒪)ノ

We then headed over to the プリクラ booth to do the usual プリクラ MAGIC session that I do with pretty much all of my friends. During decoration, I got a phone call from my dad saying that if I wanted a lift back home then I was welcome to... at this point it was dark and getting a lift home from him would have a) saved me £15 and b) saved me almost two hours of travel so I opted for the free ride home so I said goodbye to my wonderful friends 。・゚゚・(>д<;)・゚゚・。

I had such a wonderful day out and about and as much as I do like to see my friends... I did feel all panicky and horrible spending so much time outside... am I really becoming a hermit?! I hope not because this will definitely be a set back for future plans 。゚(゚ノД`゚)゚。 I'll try and become more sociable... I promise!

Peace Out

♡ Why Do I Wear Make-up? ♡

みなさん、こんにちは!

So I saw this post by Winona and I thought it was a very inspirational post so I have decided to do one for myself. If I had seen this six months ago I would not have done this for the life of me... but now I feel more comfortable with my skin, despite it being in such bad condition at the moment, so here we go!
What we have to do is show our face half bare and half with make-up on - without editing the pictures because that is naughty naughty (・`ω´・) I have cheated a little and re-added some recent pictures - the left being me without make-up and right is with make-up etc... cheating cheater that's me! This post... it's kind of like giving us a chance to show that we are comfortable with who we are without the whole 'make-up is bad' nagging going on in the background. I would love to see others do this and hey, if I can pluck up the courage to do so then so can YOU!
1. When did you start to wear make-up?
It wasn't until I went to college - so around the age of 15/16 - when make-up became interesting to me and so I went through the whole experimenting phase with finding out what colours suited my skin tone and what foundations / concealers / powders were right for my awful combination skin etc.I want to say that I was comfortable with myself during school days but truthfully I wasn't because of horrendous bullying but I never succumbed to the /ploy/ of make-up because I was such a tomboy. Since the age of 13; I've had the wonderful trouble of teenage acne skin problems and because of my size back then, my cheeks would easily turn red so I had lots of uneven skin colour and these problems continued on throughout college and hey I still have some of these problems now even though I am turning 23 in two weeks time!
2. How do you feel without make-up?
Well, I did go through a phase during my university years where I wouldn't even walk to the corner shop to buy a pint of milk without wearing foundation, powder and mascara. But since having a job at the nursery; wearing so much make-up everyday became a task as well as being surrounded by co-workers who didn't wear make-up at all, I slowly started wearing less and less to the point where I can comfortably walk around without a scrap of make-up on. Working at the nursery certainly brought me out of my shell and put into my head that wearing make-up or not wearing make-up is NOT  bad thing and so I shouldn't be judged on my decision on whether I want to wear make-up or not on certain days. I am officially comfortable with how my face looks without make-up - even with the blemishes I still get every now and again.
3. What do you like about make-up?
I like the fact that one day if I fancy it; I can go around wearing natural looking make-up for a day look then adding some glitz and glam - and some false eyelashes - and turn that into a going out night look. I like how there is all sorts of make-up for different skin types and I like how no one is compressed to a singular brand in their life. I also love seeing all the make-up styles from all over the world via different genres of music and different styles of fashion.
4. Tell your story about your growing love for make-up:
My love for make-up certainly isn't a natural thing, it grew on my as I hit a certain age in life. Already at this point I was into Japanese music especially visual kei / j-rock / j-pop etc so I took to copying and editing the styles that I saw on particular idols in these genres - mainly looking at The Gazette and Alice Nine for visual kei inspiration and then looking at j-pop idols such as Namie Amuro and Koda Kumi etc. Then around 2009 I was introduced to k-pop and I was hooked by their bright coloured and subtle yet extreme make-up styles and so my make-up changed to follow these particular styles. Nowadays I look into more street style inspiration make-up as well as loving the Gyaru fashion and make-up side of things - especially Rokku Kei style. I know I will never be as good as the models in the pages of magazines like EGG, Popteen, Ageha etc but I enjoy learning about the different styles and giving it all a go because then I know I've tried it without thinking that it wouldn't suit me anyway. I love looking at /mature/ style make-up also - looking at inspirational bloggers like Style Suzi and Sebastian Simon.
5. Tell your three holy grail make-up products:
Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in No. 13
Skin Food Peach Sake Silky Smooth Powder
No.7 Extreme Length Mascara

I seriously do want my friends and (very limited but all the same) followers to have a go at this because despite not liking the pictures of myself - but then again I never really do like pictures of myself - I feel more confident and relaxed about doing this.
